New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival 03/05/15

It's a 7:30 start for our last gig in New Orleans.. and the locals are raring to go.

Without much hesitation our truck is unloaded and the stage is set and sound checked..

We're ahead of schedule, just giving enough time for Tom to point out the percussion riser..
Bo is unimpressed but Lilly has all the answers..White tape!

A post breakfast, cabin fever moment.

Time to hop on a golf cart and grab a shower!

Bo's beau, Jess has arrived all the way from Chicago and catches up with Cafe.

And dinner is a'served!!

And the crowd in full anticipation of what promises to be a cracking gig!

Bo, bearded, gloved and.. not doing lights?

It's showtime!!

And the crowd are jumping straight off the bat...

What a great gig and what a receptive crowd, they love it!!

Dr Johns band featuring the Blind Boys of Alabama, arrive whilst we pack down and their guys set their stage..

With Dr.John playing we pack our boxes and wait for their set to end before loading the truck.

This is the time we say our goodbye's to the band in preparation to make our way home!

University of Alhabama at Birmingham 02/15/15

Another day closer to the end and we're in sunny Birmingham, Alabama!

Just off the bus we're greeted by Adam's bike - later he lets me take this beauty for a spin, oh yes!

Post breakfast musings in Production...
Snowman  & Jimi get things done.

Meanwhile Mr. Booth seems to get the non-patchwork point...

Tori share's the load with  Rear Gunner Roberts.

Adam's piano key backdrop seems to be just the job.

Miss Lilly finds a few odd jobs that keep her in the sunshine... it's been missing for sure!
And it's time for our opening act tonight.. Sugarcane Jane
Featuring Mr Anthony  Crawford, a past collaborator of Steve's,
joined by the lovely Savana Lee.
Excellent foot stomping music - much worth a listen!

And on with the penultimate show.. and it's a corker!
Gimme some lovin' - Everyday!

Fox Theatre - Atlanta, Georgia..01/05/15

And it's May Day.. however there'll none of this in Atlanta today..

Nor will we see Morrismen neither.

Just plain old southern hospitality.. and a conversation to set the world straight!

With the enlighten local crew of the fabulous Fox theater!

Tori makes a ghostly sappearance on stage in preparation for the load in..

Cafe finds his way to the dressing room... following the letter of the Fire Marshall!

The backstage contains signed photos from the original foyer...

Miss Lilly spots a few familiar faces including the Welsh embassador, Mr. Tom Jones

Tonights show is being opened by none other tha Randall 'Last Great Traffic Jam' Bramblett.

I have not previously had the pleasure to have met this talented multi-instrumentalist.

His name has been known to me since the beginning of my time with Mr. Winwood..
Not as himself but as a road case!

So I tell he, himself that I have pushed him all over the world, tipped him, thrown him and stuffed him full of gear..
Thankfully Randall Bramblet (the man), laughs

It was a pleasure to put a face and sound to the name.. and their set is a blinder!

No the crowd ready themselves for the Guv'nor.

And the kids are upstanding for pretty much the whole gig!!

Awesome show.

Day off in Atlanta 30/04/15

Steve, James and I set sail in a series of Uber vehicles across Atlanta..

KEH all the way in Smyrna where I have a great chat with photographer Mike Reese.

Hitting Mountain High where I meet Teddi - who will sometime later cut my hair!

And it's dinner time before we know it! Miss Lilly leads the way...

Followed by a quick night cap..

Thank you Atlanta..

State Theater, New Bruswick 27/04/15

And here we are, Springsteen country!

Back stage offers us a warm welcome and some very comfortable leather couches.

Team 'Drive' get fed and watered...

And it's down the corridoor for load in.

Sound check is a happening!!

Rear gunner Roberts gets his ordinance in order..

Tonight we are joined by the fabulous Cris Jacobs...

But not before 'Beardoff'!!

Cris, the clear winer - grooming tips are passed over...

And the kids go wild!!

Great audience tonight...

Off in New York City.. 26/04/15

There she is!!

New York City...

Tom and I are off for an adventure and bump into Richie and James taking a morning stroll.

It's Empire State building.. as pointed out by some very knowledgeable tourist guide who found time to point out this incredibly discreet building.. We'd have never known!

This little park, just outside Macy's houses some very interesting people..

Including the famous low rumbling New Yorker!

Dirty City...

Tom tries to lift an aircraft carrier...

And back on the ferry to the hotel.. happy with our days sights!!

Two nights at the Historic Capital Theatre, Port Chester, NY 24-25/04/15

And so we hit the historic Capitol theater in Port Chester for a series of 2 gigs.

It looks very like the local crew know a thing or two about whats important too!

These enigmatic doors appear on every floor..curious.

Just time for a quick bite before sound check..

Num num Pizza sandwich mumbles Bo.

Traffic played here back in 1970 and quite recently the venue has been refurbished with  not only a really cool lighting rig but also a projectionist to provide animated visuals within the auditorium itself.

Miss Lilly gives the thumbs up as the eager fans make a bee line to fill up with merchandise.

Look it's a top down view of the stage , all is finally apparent with the myserious 'shaftway' doors..

And the sound of Steve Winwood fills the theater after 45 years..

You can bet the kids went wild!

 Day 2

This is the first time we've seen sunshine on this tour so with an early arrival Paul and Snowman catch some rays!

Meanwhile Miss Lilly gets herself  a little something to eat..

With the stage already set from yesterday we jump into sound check..

Bang tidy! Jose gets the point...

And who's this familiar face alongside Jimi?

That's right Bobby Long - back to open tonight's show..

Just enough time for Bo to smoke a fag....

And it's almost show time - another sell out!

There they are, band and audience rocking out to a most splendid and psychedelic rendition of
Dear Mr. Fantasy!! Aided and abetted by Bo's lights and Scott's fabulous projections..

The curtain falls and the band and crew say good night...
